INTERPRETATION: NIST and some independent chemists (including later FTIR/SEM work on similar chips) argue the red layer is iron-oxide pigment in epoxy/kaolin primer, not a nanothermite composite, and that DSC exotherms can reflect organic binder combustion.

This rebuttal is itself not a full public replication of Harrit's DSC protocol on the same samples. Treat as competing analysis, not as a deletion of EVD-121.
