Observation

Using multi-point tracking, Chandler/Walter/Szamboti report that after ~1.4 s of near-immobility of most of the north and west rooflines, those rooflines entered free fall together within ~0.2 s at ~8.0–8.2 s after east-penthouse collapse, ~9.8 m/s² for ~2.5 s.

Interpretation

That the motion is inconsistent with NIST's progressive-buckling narrative, and that NIST hid it, are interpretations. Simultaneous support removal is an inference from the kinematics, not a chemical identification of explosives.

Source text

Retrieved 2026-09-02. Method: Tracker software, Camera 2 (north) and a stabilised west view; east-penthouse collapse as t=0. Observation: multi-point kinematics. Interpretation: NIST hid the instantaneous transition; near-simultaneous failure of columns low in the building, consistent in the authors' view with controlled demolition. NIST Stage 2 free fall of the north face is already in this lab (EVD-107). This paper adds a claim about the rest of the roofline and about NIST's Stage 1 characterisation.

Hypothesis linkage

  • H005contradictsseeded

Authors say the motion is inconsistent with NIST global-collapse analyses.

  • H006supportsseeded

Multi-point free-fall onset is the authors' kinematic support for simultaneous support removal.

  • H018supportsseeded

Instantaneous whole-roofline free fall is used as the physical counterpart of a pull.
