Observation
A large aircraft identified as AA11 struck WTC 1 at 08:46:40 on 11 September 2001.
Interpretation
Identity as AA11 rests on airline, ATC, passenger, and hijacker-ticket records. The impact itself is not in serious dispute among official or most alternative investigators.
Source text
OBSERVATION (Commission Ch. 1): AA11, a Boeing 767 out of Logan, struck WTC 1 at 08:46:40 Eastern, floors 93–99. The event was recorded by multiple cameras, by ATC radar, and by thousands of witnesses. This is among the best-corroborated facts in the corpus. Competing 'no plane' claims about the towers are stored separately and scored as weak.
Hypothesis linkage
Commission + live video of AA11 into WTC1.
Aircraft impact is observed; directed-energy-only is in tension with a 767 entering WTC1.
AA11 as a real flight with named hijacker-pilot Atta is multiply sourced.
