A catalogue count is not 150,000 independent observations of 11 September. Most items are later personal recollection.

OBSERVATION (911digitalarchive.org homepage, retrieved 3 Sep 2026): The September 11 Digital Archive uses electronic media to collect, preserve, and present the history of September 11, 2001 and its aftermath. Self-count: more than 150,000 digital items, including more than 40,000 emails, more than 40,000 first-hand stories, and more than 15,000 digital images. LoC accepted a copy in September 2003 (library's first major digital acquisition). Partners: RRCHNM (George Mason) and ASHP (CUNY).

Omeka browse at ingest listed 70,359 public items across 3,518 pages. Featured collections: Voices of 9.11 video testimonies; Here Is New York Photos; Michael Ragsdale Flyer Collection.

GAP: 70,000+ item bodies were not dumped. Samples are EVD-303 through EVD-313.
